Saturday In The Park

Saturday In The Park is our love letter to parks in the summer, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, and Reading Rainbow, The Endless Summer, and anamorphic cinematography.

This is a half-hour nature show for all ages about Prospect Park / and a proof of concept pilot for something even bigger - a tv series hosted by Steve Buscemi where he hangs out in amazing city parks around the world meeting interesting people and just taking it all in.

This was inspired by bike rides with Irene in Prospect Park when we were lucky enough to live a few blocks away in Park Slope. Irene first mentioned the idea for a park doc the afternoon of the eclipse in 2018. Right away I was like “yep” that’s our next film. Let’s get started.

Thank you Tara Kutz for believing in us and this project. It never would have happened if we hadn’t met.

Thank you Paola Piers-Torres for always pushing! Tony Ferraro for the musical blessings. Maxwell + Little Ears for the Beverly Glenn-Copeland sync! My brother Korey @FEEL Studio for titles+ artwork + EVERYTHING you do.

Christine Ng. I look forward to seeing you win an Oscar for cinematography. Thank you! And UWA Iduozee! you stepped up and brought a shocking level of artistry with your vision behind the lens.

Thank you Wren Arthur and Steve Buscemi (!!!) for doing your thing and letting us do ours.

Thank you Hanna Boyd and REI for making this dream come true by investing your resources in this project.

And Brian Newman - thank you, man. You connected the dots. That’s what you do and I’m writing this because of you.

Thanks to everyone else who played a part in this. I will add more later.

Until then, hope to see you in the Park.
